DVOKUT-ECRO prepared a strategic environmental document for the City of Rijeka – Environmental Protection Programme for the 2024–2028 period, which included Air Quality Protection Programme and the Climate Change Mitigation, Climate Change Adaptation and Ozone Layer Protection Programme.
The assignment included an assessment of the current state of the environment in the City of Rijeka, with consideration of key environmental components and pressures, including air quality, water, soil, biodiversity, landscape, waste management, climate change and quality of life. Based on the analysis, environmental objectives and priority measures were defined for the planning period.
Through the preparation of these documents, the City of Rijeka received an integrated strategic framework for planning and implementing environmental protection and climate-related measures at the local level. The project supports sustainable urban development, improved environmental management and strengthened climate resilience of the city.
