We participated in the third biennial workshop “Drone Days”, which took place at the Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science on May 4 and 5, 2023. The workshop presented new techniques and technologies of unmanned aerial vehicles and its wide range of application going from remote sensing in forestry, agriculture and exploitation and preservation of natural resources, to inspection of inaccessible objects, examination of the integrity of infrastructure systems, creation of three-dimensional models of the surface and target objects in very high resolution using LIDAR technology and the like. During the workshop, we learned about new ways of using unmanned aircraft systems and made acquaintances that will further improve work of our newly founded Laboratory for Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing and contribute to design and development of projects in the field of unmanned aircraft systems application in sustainable natural resources exploitation and environment protection.
